January 31 ~ Friday

After we took the kids to school, we sat around and talked with Em and Sarah until Sarah had to go to school and Em's friend Austin picked her up. Sarah came home after her class and finished getting her stuff together for her weekend trip to New York.
Katherine called feeling sick and we went to school early and picked both of them up (around 1:30).
Jeffrey went to Masons' tonight and on the way home from dropping him off we went to Sprouts to get Iggy some food.
BSG continues.

January 30 ~ Thursday

We worked out again this morning, legs and arms. The went home and did  more house cleaning today.
Sarah drove out to Burbank and picked up Em from the airport and they got home around 7 and we spent time sitting and talking.
Em went out with one of her friends and we watched BSG.

January 29 ~ Wednesday

Jeffrey had to be school an hour early today because of his string performance.

We dropped them off before 8 AM then went to work out.

Hannah came by to look at books and I cleaned the bathrooms and dusted.

Jeff and I went by Target to find some more Lego people then got the kids.

While the kids were at karate I went to the Goodwill where they were having one of the 50% off sales.

I got 2 Disneyworld glasses for a dollar.

I picked up Taco Bell for the kids then picked up everybody from karate and we headed over to the school for Jeffrey's evening String Concert.

It was in the gym and we enjoyed it.

January 28 ~ Tuesday

We had a lot of errands today. The post office, Costco, AAA, the market and then picked up the kids.
I made a casserole and Jeff went to karate.

January 27 ~ Monday.

No school again this Monday.
Jeffrey's friend Mark came over and Jeff and I went to the bank.
The kids went to karate tonight and I went shopping then brought them home.
Tonight we continued with BSG Season 3.

January 26 ~ Sunday

I got to sleep in nice an late this morning. I rarely do that!
We both spent the day working around the house and in the garage.
We watched Sleep Hollow in the afternoon with Katherine and BSG in the evening.

January 25 ~ Saturday

I drove Katherine over to Shel's this morning and Hannah hijacked me into taking her and the girls to in-and-Out for burgers.
I brought one home for Jeff.
I listed the jackets we got, worked some more in the garage and then made casserole.
I picked up Katherine later in the afternoon and after the kids went to bed we watched Grimm.

January 24 ~ Friday

I spent the morning listing on eBay while Jeff packed.
When I was done we took showers and had some personal time together.
We went to the market before picking up the kids.
Later we took Jeffrey to Mason's, stopped at the market for a few things we forgot then at home I cooked chicken.
Another episode of Helix tonight.

January 23 ~ Thursday

I took the kids to school and started to meet up with Sally but her car broke down so I came home.
She ended up taking the car to the dealer and getting a loaner and drove out and met me for lunch.
We ate at Sooki's for a belated birthday lunch.
Jeff went to Hannah's and played ping pong while I was gone.
Jeff went to karate tonight and later we watched Revolution.

January 22 ~ Wednesday

I drove the kids to school this morning while Jeff stayed home with the inspector who came to see the work on the repaired pips.
Jeff spent the rest of ht morning packing and shipping while I cleaned the kitchen.
We picked up the kids, took them to karate while I went to eh 99¢ store then I brought them home and took a shower.
Tonight we watched another episode of Helix.

January 21 ~ Tuesday

We went to the gym this morning and did chest, back and shoulders.
We also went to Dr G.
We watched a Twilight Zone during lunch that I haven't seen before.
On the way to pick up the kids we stopped at the market for dinner.
Jeff went to karate tonight to teach and I stayed home and made casserole.
We watched another episode of Helix tonight.

January 20 ~ Monday

Happy Birthday to me!
There was no school today.
Jeffrey still wasn't feeling great this morning so he stayed home while we went to pick up Katherine and then the 3 of us went to Sooki's for lunch.
Jeff worked on his Legos today.
Sarah gave me a bunch of really nice body lotions and a bouquet of flowers.
Jeff bought a really nice cake and we had that later in the afternoon.
Tonight we started on the TV show Helix.

January 19 ~ Sunday

We took Katherine to Gabby's house this morning.
The rest of the day we cleaned in the garage trying to get things organized.
Jeffrey got a sick stomach late in the afternoon and threw up while we went to the store getting him 7-Up. When we got back he threw up several more times.
He ended up feeling better and fell asleep early.
We watched Hawaii 5-O tonight.

January 18 ~ Saturday

This morning Jeff taught his private lesson then came home.
We also picked up Jeffrey from Masons's house at noon.
He packed and shipped and we went to the dollar store, the post office and the market.
At home I cooked a casserole, we watched a ridiculous B movie called "Drive Angry" with Nick Cage and Billy Burke (the star of Revolution).
The rest of the day we just took it easy.
Tonight we watched Grimm.

January 17 ~ Friday

Today was just one thing after another.
First Jeffrey had splinter in his foot and he was so concerned about my trying to take it out he left his lunch on the floor in the entry.
We had to drive it back before lunchtime then he didn't even get it until 5th period.
I had trouble with my computer not saving edits to my pictures.
Hannah sensed my distress and came by with chocolate late in the afternoon.
We took Jeffrey to Mason's in the evening and we stopped by Vons on the way home and got a giant sandwich.
We watched another episode of Revolution after Katherine went to bed.

January 16 ~ Thursday

It was a slow day today.
We worked out then at home I listed and Jeff shipped.
I got ice cream for dessert... a treat I don't usually indulge in.
Tonight we watched Revolution.

January 15 ~ Wednesday

Today the hot water pipes got fixed.
It turned out to be much easier than either Jeff or I anticipated.
We went to the post office, the dollar store and the market on the way to get the kids,
Jeffrey has too much homework so he stayed home while Katherine went to karate.
Tonight I made chicken and we watched NCIS-LA after the kids went to sleep.
And just as a side note we are having 80 degree weather every day. Feels like spring or early summer.

January 14 ~ Tuesday

This morning I drove the kids to school then went by the gym and started my cardio workout.  I used a new type of machine which simulates cross country skiing. I wimped out after 10 minutes but because of my knee I haven't been able to do much so I figured its better to start somewhere.

The leak detection guy came and figured out where the leak was under the slab and made plans to hopefully get it all fixed tomorrow. In the meantime, still no hot water.

I was tired and didn't feel good most of the day, I think taking melatonin to help me get to sleep doesn't work well for me.

We didn't have anything made for lunch at home so we went to Taco Bell before we picked the kids up. We also went by Costco to pick up cheese and few other things we needed.

I made casserole tonight and we watched NCIS after the kids went to bed.


Kitten has decided that Jeff's chair is THE place to snooze.

Janury 13 ~ Monday

We worked out this morning and when we got home we discovered that the hot water pipe was leaking under the house right off the front bathroom.
We had to call the landlord and property manager and get someone to come out to see what has to be done.
No hot water in the meantime.
I took everyone to karate, went to the 99¢ Store then picked up on the way home.
I left our little hamster at the dojo for a lady to pick up. She paid me $25. Cool!
I had to go back and pick up Jeff then once we got home we got the kids to bed and watched Elementary.

January 12 ~ Sunday

A kind of relaxing day.
Finished watching the Disney cruise travel show from Christmas.
I colored my hair to cover those dang grays, took a shower then had a nice long talk and some some personal time with Jeff.
The rest of the day was spent working around the house, doing the dishes and finishing cleaning the kids bathroom, taking it from Haz Mat level down to high filth alert.
We picked up Katherine from the mall where she was shopping with Allie, Gabby and her mom.
This evening we picked up some groceries for the kids lunches tomorrow then watched Hawaii 5-0 after the kids went to sleep.

January 11 ~ Saturday

Today we did a lot of cleaning.
We put Iggy into his new tank and Bert back into his big 10 gallon aquarium.
I cleaned the whole front room and the most of the kids bathroom.
Hannah came and visited for awhile this afternoon and we sat around and talked.
She got a Basset Hound this morning for free from a guy off Craigslist.
About 5 we drove Katherine over to Westlake to meet Gabby at a restaurant where she was going to have dinner with Gabby's family then spend the night.
Jeff and I brought a giant sub sandwich from the market and brought it home and watched some more of the Disney vacation shows we taped on Christmas day.
Tonight we watched Grimm.

January 10 ~ Friday

Today we started in at the gym.
I am sore.
But it felt good.
We stopped at TRU on the way to get the kids to pick a up a few Lego people then brought everyone home.
At 5:30 we started down to drive down to Camarillo to pick up a new "free) home for Iggy and the freeway completely stopped due to an accident. (Second time this week this happened to us).
It took us almost an hour to go 6 miles. Fortunately neither of had to pee and we spent the time talking and making lists.
The new tank we picked up is great and will put Iggy in in tomorrow.
At home I made a casserole and we watched Elementary tonight.

January 9 ~ Thursday

Jeff still had a lot packing today so while he did that I worked on the kitchen.
I also packed up my Christmas village finally.
Before we got the kids from school we stopped by Toys R Us and Jeff got 2 Lego Mini Figures and then we returned the cheese I bought yesterday that was moldy. After we got the kids we went to the market with them and bought a bunch of groceries including lots of veggies for salads.
At home Jeff and I had a good talk then we had to run out to Target and pick up a ream of paper so we could print out Katherine's homework.
We stopped at the Dollar Tree and the market on the way back.
We watched Grimm then spent some more time together.

January 8 ~ Wednesday

Lots more packing today.
Jeff spent some time listening to a webinar while I organized the shelves in the dining room and my roll top desk.
We picked the kids up came home and I did the dishes.
Katherine stayed home from karate because she had too much homework.
I went with Jeff & Jeffrey and went to he 99¢ store while they were at karate.
At home I made a homemade pizza.
Tonight we watched NCIS.


Madison has decided to be social once again and was out on the new cat tree.

January 7 ~ Tuesday

Jeff spent most of today packing some difficult to pack items.
We saw Dr G this morning and I think it helped my neck since it isn't nearly as sore as it had been.
I picked the kids up while Jeff continued packing.
I spent a while in the late afternoon cleaning the kitchen until it was time to take the packages to the post office.
On the way home we stopped by Anytime Fitness at the bottom of the our hill and signed up.
So now we belong to a gym again and we can start back into working out. I'm really excited.
I started to make a casserole but realized I forgot to get canned tomatoes so Jeff and I ran out and got some along with fruit and a gallon of milk.
Tonight we watched the season 2 finale of BSG so now we can go on to some of our other shows that started recording again after a winter break.


Katherine has wood class at school and she made this spoon which she had to bring home and paint.
For the record, she hates wood class.

January 6 ~ Monday

Great day today.
Jeff and I got enjoy some quiet personal time without anyone at home for the first time in weeks.
Then we drove out to the valley to pick up packing supplies where we got a really nice lunch at Todai, which is now called Minato.
On the way home we got stuck in traffic caused from an accident near Malibu Canyon, but we it didn't last too long.
We stopped and picked up a free hamster (Humphrey) and his really cool cage then picked up the Katherine and headed home. Jeffrey had to stay for orchestra practice.
We went back to pick up Jeffrey at 4:30 then took everyone to karate.
I went down to the Goodwill while I waited for them.
I drove the kids home and helped with homework and did some dishes before Jeff came home.
Tonight we watched the 2nd to last episode in Season 2 of BSG.

January 5 ~ Sunday

We spent the morning relaxing until it was time to take Alex to the train back to college.
The train was over an an hour and half late. We ran him by McDonald's so he could use the last of his gift card before heading off to school.
On the way home we stopped at Target to get some cleaning supplies so I can try to tidy up the bathrooms.
We took down the outside lights and cleaned up a bit outside and took out the trash cans before coming back inside.
We finally caught up on Sleepy Hollow this afternoon and watched another installment of BSG tonight.
Back to school for the younger 2 tomorrow!

January 4 ~ Saturday

This morning Jeff and I went to pick up Jeffrey from Sawyers.

On the way home we stopped at McDonald's to get some lunch (something we rarely do) and brought everything home to eat.

Later on we drove Jeffrey over to Sky High Sports (a trampoline gym) for Mason's birthday party.
After we got home Jeff and I laid down for a little while then spent some time cleaning up the kitchen.

Picked up 2 different batches of free stuff in the afternoon.
Both have some good stuff, both to keep and to sell.

I made casserole for dinner and we watched BSG again.

January 3 ~ Friday

Today we finally made it to Costco to renew our membership.
Jeffrey and Katherine came along for the ride.
It was a madhouse! But we got lots of stuff we needed including laundry detergent and TP.
Woo-Hoo!
We watched another installment of Sleepy Hollow then at 6:30 we drove Jeffrey over to Sawyers house to spend the night.
We stopped at the Vons on Janns then came home.
We got most of the Christmas decorations put away. The only thing left is my village and the outside lights.
I had some Tea and ice cream while we watched BSG.

January 2 ~ Thursday

Jeff and I did a bunch of out of the house errands today.
The post office, looking for boxes so he could ship, dropping off stuff at the Goodwill, looking for hamster litter and food at 3 different stores and finally the market.
Not a lot else going on.
We watched another Sleepy Hollow and more recorded Twilight Zone marathon during the day and BSG at night until our other shows come back on.

January 1 ~ Wednesday

Happy New year!

Here's to a better year filled with love, family and happy times.
I hope to save for a Disney vacation that we can go on in the summer and to be at my goal weight by then.

Last night we ate pizza and then watched Despicable Me 2 which was really funny.

This morning I made banana pancakes and turkey bacon and sausage. Everyone was very happy!

Today we have been relaxing and watching a lot of TV. We watched an episode of Sleepy Hollow (a new show we started recording) and the rest of the day the Twilight Zone marathon has been on and I saw several episodes I had not seen before.

Tonight I made chicken drumsticks and 2 different types of cookies. A last hurrah before getting back on track and starting to eat right again.

Tonight was another episode of Battlestar Galactica.

Katherine has not left this spot most of the day.
